AMD Ryzen & EPYC CPU EPYC 9004 (Genoa) In Stock

Zen 4 server processor with 96 cores, 192 threads and 384 MB L3 cache on the SP5 platform.

The AMD EPYC 9654 is a 96-core, 192-thread server processor built on the Zen 4 architecture and the SP5 platform. It runs at a 2.4 GHz base clock and boosts to 3.7 GHz, carries 384 MB of L3 cache and a 360 W default TDP, and supports eight or twelve channels of DDR5 memory with full PCIe 5.0 connectivity. The very high core count makes it suited to dense virtualization, database and analytics workloads, while the large cache and memory bandwidth help data-intensive applications. Because a single socket provides the cores, memory channels and I/O lanes that once required a two-socket system, it can reduce the cost, power and footprint of a server platform. The SP5 socket and the EPYC 9004 family span a range of core counts, so a platform can be scaled across tiers with the same board design. AMD builds in server-class security and management features, and the open platform is supported by the major server vendors. Every processor is factory-traceable and ships with an import declaration, a certificate of origin and RoHS documentation. BeiLuo supports server and HPC customers with allocation planning and our FAE team helps match the processor to memory, cooling and platform firmware.

FAE Professional Review

The 9654 is our recommendation when a single socket must replace a legacy two-socket node. The core count and memory bandwidth carry dense virtualization and analytics, and the 360 W envelope is manageable with a properly specified server heatsink. Confirm the platform firmware supports Genoa and plan the twelve-channel memory population carefully.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many memory channels does the 9654 support?

The EPYC 9004 platform supports twelve DDR5 memory channels per socket, and eight-channel population is also supported, so plan the DIMM count to match the bandwidth your workload needs.

Populate all channels evenly to reach peak bandwidth.

Request a server platform consultation

Is the 360 W TDP hard to cool?

360 W is within the range of standard 2U and 4U server heatsinks when the airflow and the heatsink are specified for the socket.

Confirm the chassis supports the socket's thermal design power before you commit the platform.
